Description

The microfilmed copies of the Leslie family papers include, letters from Leonie Leslie to her son, Sir Shane Leslie, 1921-1943, and her daughter in law, Marjorie Leslie, 1912-1923; letters from Lady Constance Leslie to her grandson, Sir Shane Leslie, 1900-1919; correspondence of Sir Shane Leslie and his wife Marjorie, 1911-1951 and letters from Anita Leslie to her father, Sir Shane Leslie, 1924-1972. Also included in this collection are:

MIC/606/9 Microfilmed letters to Anita Leslie from her cousin, Clare Sheridan, one about sculpting a bust of their cousin Sir Winston Churchill, 1931-1961.

MIC/606/10 Microfilmed diaries of Marjorie Ide, later wife of Sir Shane Leslie (1912), 1901-1907, 1909-1910, 1915, 1932-1934. Those diaries written before her marriage relate to her life in the Philippines, where her father was Governor, and in Madrid where he was United States Ambassador; 2 microfilmed copies of her book 'Girlhood in the Pacific', 1942.
