Parliamentary Question. Sir John Lionsdale to Chief Secretary 'will Countess Markievicz who made the speech in Cork on 6 March be interned?'; answer that she is a Russian subject by virtue of her marriage and it is not in the public interest to state what restrictions, if any, will be imposed on her. RIC report on the Cork meeting under the auspices of Cumann na mBan, note appended to answer describes her as a 'notoriety seeking old woman', 22 August 1916.
