Short film using Robert French photographs from the William Lawrence Collection, held in the National Library, to illustrate the Dublin of 1904 that inspired Joyce's Ulysses. The film traces Joyce's childhood and adolescence and his meeting with Nora Barnacle on June 16, 1904. The music from the film comes from songs referred to in Ulysses which were favourites of Joyce's.
