Description

Council Minutes, 8 May 1928-17 November 1938.
At the meeting of 21 November 1929, Lady Arnott 'said that the question of Divorce was becoming so terrible that our clearly defined standpoint must be maintained in the Mothers' Union. Bye-law 6 under the Royal Charter, ruled that those who are already Member must retire if they have been through the Divorce Court. Regarding Separation - this is not in itself a bar to membership'.
