Description

A Letter from a Lady in Town [2 pages printed] relating to an investment in the new bank in Ireland [part of the general argument against the bank, - Protestants would be left with only paper money 'which can be of no Effect in Times of Confusion' - this pamphlet aimed at women].

'When I saw this LIST [of subscribers], and observed the Situation of the Subscribing LADYS betwixt the SOLDIERS and TRADERS, I was highly Delighted that you were not one of the NUMBER'.

'..a Proposal was made her of a very Advantagious MATCH, which was brought almost to a Conclusion, but broke off when the GENTLEMAN came to know that her Fortune was in the BANK...'

Printed by John Harding, 1721.
