| Description | Collection of c.1500 photographs and 1500 slides, mainly of the County Down area, but including some photographs of Belfast. The photographs are arranged alphabetically by place in c.50 files, late 19th century-20th century. The following is a selection of some of the photographs which are available: Photograph of Mrs Maggie Thompson, aged 85, embroidering at an open fire in Newtownards, County Down, 1974. Photograph of the pupils and staff of Ballyholme Primary School, with names attached, 1926. Wedding photograph of Miss Ritchie in Ballywalter, County Down, c.1922. 1 bound volume of black and white photographs showing numerous women in individual and in family group photographs, c.1910-1920s. |
