DescriptionMinutes, accounts, correspondence, reports, etc., relating to teachers and inspectors of the Church Education Society. Founded in 1839 to assist schools already in existence and to establish new schools in which Church of Ireland children would be catechised by the clergy.
Includes committee meeting books, 1839-1950; school inspection records, 1846-1857 and 1894-1931; applications for training school, 1855-1881; examination papers for male and female students at the Kildare Place Training School, 1864-1876; printed papers on Irish education systems, 19th century. 70 volumes and 4 boxes.
