'Irish Country Women's Association: Sixty Years a Growing':

A film looking at the history of the ICA, founded in 1910 (sic). The development of the organisation is traced using photographs and personal reminiscences. Its headquarters, An Grianan, is the scene of various activities and courses, rug making, flower arranging and cookery. At local level the ICA is shown researching local history, visiting places of cultural interest and campaigning for piped water and rural electrification. In the 1960s the ICA was involved in promoting farm-house holidays. The ICA is shown hosting the 1965 Association of Countrywomen of the World Congress at the RDS, attended by delegates from 127 countries.
