1796.07/32/1858 Letter from Elise M Mansfield, Teignmouth, to Bishop W Keane, relating to the future of her nephew. When her brother George got married he gave an undertaking that any children would be brought up as Catholics. A convert herself, she is aware that the rest of the family are trying to bring up George's son as a Protestant. She asks the Bishop to write a statement of George's promise to him, 18 August 1858.
