| Description | A file of 22 letters to and from Nurse Sarah [Dotty] Sloan, mainly to and from Pastor F. Gracey, Cork, 1941-1943. For example: A letter from Nurse Sarah Sloan in Ilave, Southern Peru to Pastor F. Gracey, which notes, 'Two gentlemen have offered me a piece of ground to build a Clinic, the town would help in the building of it, and the property would be ours. In the name of the Mission I thanked them for their kind offer: but said at the moment it was impossible, as to form a Clinic one needed a doctor. But hoped in the near future to see a Clinic in Ilave for the benefit of the Indians', 1 February 1943. |
