As a public body, the Irish Manuscripts Commission is concerned with the widest possible dissemination of the information contained in its publications. Towards this end the Commission has engaged with digitisation at several levels including developing a digitsation policy, digitising its back-list of publications, and acting as a national aggregator for digital content being provided by cultural institutions to the Europeana cultural heritage portal.
